DIAPHRAGM PUMPS
Thompson’s diaphragm pumps are capable of quick, dry self-priming down to 20 feet.
They can run dry indefinitely as no rotating part comes in contact with any liquids. Thompson’s diaphragm pumps are designed to be highly resistant to abrasion and handle liquids containing a large percentage of sand, solids and stringy, fibrous materials. The parts subject to wear and aging, such as diaphragms and check valves, are easily replaced. The pump is equipped with an external operating version (EOV) which provides a run time of up to 100 hours.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
Thompson’s Diaphragm pumps are equipped with a spring-loaded connecting rod which activates if irregularly shaped solids block the diaphragm downstroke. When the pump restarts, the spring operates for a few strokes until the material is remixed with the liquid.
